The elementary program is divided into two levels, the Junior Elementray class for 6 to 9 year olds, and the Senior Elementary for 9 to 12 year olds. Using the skills required in the early years, the elementary student is ready to begin her exploration of the universe in a more profound way. "Five Great Lessons" about human life and its place in the cosmos provide the context for the study of all the subjects: mathematics, language, history, geography, geometry, science, music and art.
The interdisciplinary approach to learning means children develop a perception of unity of knowledge and existence. Children work both individually and in groups and are encouraged to pursue their own areas of interest, with the guidance of a teacher. Once again, the freedom allowed and responsibility expected in the classroom, enable the child to develop a strong sense of self-esteem and inner discipline as they continue their life of learning.
